2021-9-18 Morgan's and Callie's Last Hurrah :-(

This was a very sad campout. We had to put our beloved kitty, Callie down this weekend while camping. She was going steadily downhill from old age issues and from Thursday to Friday she just nose-dived so we made the decision to put her down on Friday afternoon.

On a lighter note I used my new Swarovski binoculars and did some bird watching and saw a ton of birds right from my camp chair in our campsite. Morgan's is a fantastic place for bird watching!

My list of birds...most of these I saw in one day sitting out quietly observing:

Yellow-throated Vireo

Titmouse

Chickadee

Cardinal

Black Vulture

White-Breasted Nuthatch

Least Flycatcher

Acadian Flycatcher

American Redster (female only)

Balitmore Oriole

Black & White Warbler

Eastern Wood Pewee

Tennessee Warbler

Goldfinch

Blackpole Warbler

Song Sparrow

Starling

Northern Flicker

My setup. A difficult site to maneuver but a very nice site

How do I get into, and then out of this site!?!?

Rest in peace, sweet girl

  1. Always hard to lose a pet. She will be waiting at the rainbow bridge.
