2020-11-28 Thanksgiving at Winton Woods

This was a fun campout. We met up with Larry and two new couples, Mike & Pam and Scott & Sandy. Both couples are from the Cincinnati area and I actually met Pam and Mike at our local storage facility a month or so ago.

The plan for this campout was really just me and Carie and we figured we'd just go out to a restaurant for Thanksgiving but we got these 5 others wanting to join us after I put out the invite and we all put together a makeshift T-giving dinner that went well and was really good. My work gives each employee a turkey every year so we had that and Carie cooked it up the night before heading out to Winton Woods.

Mike has this new Solo Stove and I wasn't too sure of it at first but by the end of the first night I was sold on it. This is by far the best stove/firepit I've encountered. Far better than the Biolite stove popular with our NOVA Club. This Solo was extremely efficient, burned nearly 100% of the wood in it, takes larger pieces of wood, throws heat excellently and looks really sharp...and matches the Airstreams.  :-)

2020-11-07 Morgan's Canoe

This campout was just me & Carie. I took a few pictures of some of the campsites at Morgan's to show you how big some of them are. This campground is great! This is mainly a boondocking campground as they only have five 110v electric sites and no other hookups not even a dump station, but don't let that scare you away, there is a dump station down the road at the I-71 exit at the Flying J. Morgan's Canoe or Morgan's Riverfront Campground as it is also called is part of their Morgan's Outdoor Adventures and is associated with their canoe livery up river. Here's their web link to the campground:

Look at this beautiful clear sky! Not a cloud to be found! Temps in the low 70's!

Look at the size of this campsite in these next two pictures! Can you see Carie standing in the middle of the site?!?!
This entire frame of the picture is one campsite! With Carie still standing there!
