Every (Flying) Cloud Has A Silver Lining: June 2020

We made plans to camp out with friends at East Fork State Park East of Cincinnati From Thursday, June 18 - Tuesday the 23rd and then some other friends mentioned they would be there on Thursday the 11th thru Sunday the 14th so we met up with them and then I just decided since the camp outs were at the same park and only three days between them I would just stay the entire time and work from the Airstream on Monday - Wednesday. I did have to switch sites due to the two groups being in different loops. No big deal and it gave me the opportunity to hit the dump station as well as refill the fresh water tank. Working from the Airstream worked out very well with the Airstream Unlimited data "Connected" hardware coupled with the AT&T data plan. I ended up working from 4am to 10am each day for six hour days (I am on a 4/10 schedule w/every Friday off) so used 4 hours of vacation each of those days. The original plan was to work my regular 10 hour day schedule but friend Larry showed up on Sunday so the scheduled I ended up working left the rest of each day to hang out with Larry.
The first camp out with Rick & Kristen was fun. Kristen used to work with Carie and it was my first time meeting them. They brought along their two grand kids, Tina & Logan and their new rescue Beagle, Buttons. They had Buttons only 6 weeks at that point. This was the doggies first time camping with them and some drama happened when he took off when he accidentally ended up off-leash! Everyone search for a couple of hours for him but he ended up showing up right behind their campsite in the woods so they got him back. It was quite the drama, though! The kids seemed to have a blast before and after the dog drama and Carie & I had fun, too! Rick & Kristen are new to RV camping and haven't had the camper long.
The next camp out was with NOVA club friends Larry, John & Suzie, Mike & Sue and Randy & Chris. This camp out was Mike & Sue's event as they do this every year for Fathers Day and they put out an open invitation and we all jumped on board. The weather for the most part was very good for both camp outs. My camp sites for both were very good as well (site #261 & #99).

So this season we've been taking the kitties with us camping and they have taken well to it. Gracie (the grey cat) was a little freaked out on her first time out but she seems to have come to terms with it quite well now. They love the view from the front dinette seat backs -

Friend and former co-worker Donnie stopped by for a visit on Monday. Me, him & Larry sat around chatting for nearly 8 hours! Donnie lives right near the park so I usually let him know when I'm going to be here so we can visit. He considered spending a couple of nights with his camper but ended up not doing so. Great visit with him, though.
