2017-03-25 Kentucky Horse Park

This weekend my cousin Susan's daughter Katherine was playing in the women's college basketball championships in Lexington, KY and Carie wanted to go watch that (I did not attend the games so no pics of that from me, perhaps I can update this blog post with any pics Carie might have gotten at the games). Katherine plays for Notre Dame on a full scholarship! Anyway, Carie convinced me to go down there with her by tempting me with camping at the KY Horse Park Campground, which is a very nice campground so we went and friends Tom & Ella joined us in their Airstream. It was a great weekend and on Saturday we checked out the horse park gift shops and the park grounds around the museum. No time to do the whole museum or tours because we also wanted to fit in a trip to downtown Lexington. I actually did get some people photos this time, though, so Carie will be pleased with that! HA! Here are some of the pictures ---

There was some kind of event going on outside the museum but we couldn't identify what exactly they all were doing.

...bad hand placement, Carie!

A friend came to say hello to us while we walked the grounds. No doubt one of the barn cats here to keep the rodent population in  check.

Random shot here but I thought this was interesting. It's a slide out within a slide out! The owner says it's a new design for 2017. This fifth wheel is a Big Country by Heartland
