2019-10-05 Airstream Factory Campout

I had scheduled time up at the Airstream factory to get some lingering warrantee work done and a few upgrade / modifications (such as the Airstream Connected WiFi system, etc.) and turns out Ella was planning a little get together at the factory Terra Port campground for the weekend I was to pick up my trailer, so the timing was perfect!

Our setup in the factory Terra Port campground:

A few of us gathered around in the chilly air
Tom grilling lunch on his cool little BioLite wood stove!

Eating was the big event at this gathering (usually is at any of our campouts!) and this was most of the group at the local pizza joint in downtown Jackson Center, OH.
Front left table is Ella (back to us), Gary & Tom (Ella's Tom was MIA for this pic). Left rear table is Jamie, Mike, Sue & Judy. Rear right table is John, Brad, Suzie. Front right table is Larry, Carie, Lou Deb (And me but I'm taking the picture):
Carie with Gary & Tom in the left background and Judy & Sue in the right background -

The nearby town of Minster, OH was celebrating their annual Oktoberfest this weekedn so we went and enjoyed that!

 Tom & John

 Mike
Many celebrators were dressed in the traditional German garb like this gentleman. No idea who he was but he agreed to let me take his picture. Notice the half gallon of beer! A common site here!
Lunch at Oktoberfest. Sauerkraut Metts & bratts.
Ella, Suzie, Sue, Mike, Dan, Dawn
 Me, Judy & Jamie
Another meal out. The local Heid Out bar located right in front of the Airstream factory.
Breakfast in camp, compliments of chefs Tom & John!

Crafting is a big deal with this NOVA unit of the Wally Byam Club. I occasionally participate as I did this weekend. The project was "pour painting" where you pour a base color first then pour sevral layed colors on top and tilt your pallet around spreading out the running paints with the tilting process. Here is Sue and Suzie hard at work...
 Sue, Suzie, Lou & Dawn...

 The work area -
A wooden pallet, which after pour painting will ultimately be used as the base to one of Ella's soon-to-be baskets. Another craft I tried my hand at!
A poured painting being touched up
A pallet with just the base color added
This is one of my two attempts. It was supposed to be Bengals (football) colors for my sports fan wife, Carie
This was my second attempt. Supposed to be a John Deere coloration with a touch of orange but came out mostly orange...  :-|
The finished product drying table -
A few of the art pieces!

Not one but THREE of the BioLite firepits (I covered Tom's in a previous blog post of the Clifty Falls campout)!
